The Book Junkie Trials

Hiya Friends!

If you haven’t already heard about The Book Junkie Trials, but in case you haven’t, it is a month long readathon that will begin in July. This readathon was created by Rachael Marie who is the high queen of the kingdom and she has created prompts for each of the areas in her queendom. It is absolutely fantastic and going to be very exciting to participate in.

I took the personality quiz that Her Royal Majesty created and I am a Scribe. Scribes are professional chroniclers who write accounts of important/historical events. The Duchess of Scribes is our group leader who is Sophie from Sophiesticated Books. The High Queen has created several paths each of the four teams (Scribe, Magi, Outlaws and Bards) will take that will eventually lead to The Bookie Grail, which is to read the group book Stardust by Neil Gaiman.

The path the Scribes are to take include:

  • Dwarf Mountain – read a book that has a hint of romance
  • Apothecary Towers – read a random book off your bookshelf
  • The Great Library – read a book that has been on your TBR the longest
  • The Drowning Deep – read a book that has rich world building

The Lost Queen by Signe Pike (Dwarf Mountain)

Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi (Apothecary Towers)

When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit by Judith Kerr (The Great Library)

Saga Vol. 1 by Brian K. Vaugh & Fiona Staples (The Drowning Deep)

I am also planning to read the rest of the prompts after I have finished the ones I listed, but I am not sure if I will be able to get to them all, but figured I would create a TBR for each of them.

Are you planning to participate in this readathon? What team are you on and what is on your TBR for the prompts? Happy Reading!
